Developing investable
nature restoration

arrow-down

We use the power of capital to accelerate the force of nature, aiming to significantly scale-up European rewilding. By bringing together landowners, buyers and unique nature restoration projects we make Europe a wilder place.

We all benefit, because rewilding is a highly sustainable practice that restores nature, increases climate resilience and results in revenues from certified carbon and nature credits.

Our approach

The Wilderway

1

Partner
and rewild

We partner with landowners looking to benefit nature by restoring their land. Together with them, we develop and implement an investable rewilding plan which puts long-term impact nature centre-stage, while also creating revenue for landowners.

2

Develop credits

We develop carbon and nature credits in-house, certified by internationally recognized standards using independent validation and verification.

3

Share
revenue

We sell the credits to our broad network of (corporate) buyers. We use a vetting procedure to select buyers that are dedicated to making nature thrive. Subsequent revenues are shared with landowners.

4

Monitor progress

Rewilding projects require rigorous monitoring. We go beyond basic monitoring to undertake detailed impact monitoring on nature and climate to inform management and enable transparency on our projects’ results.

Our focus

Let nature thrive

Restoring nature is our core business.

FAQ

Landowners’
questions

Nature and carbon credits could generate revenue for your land if you are interested in pursuing nature restoration.

We are looking to work on landscape restoration, but we start by restoring individual land parcels. The size is dependent on habitat, with 100 hectares as a general minimum.

We have a multi-stage process to understand eligibility, which aims to increase efficiency and minimise landowners’ time spent. Depending on the size, habitat, current state of the land, activities to be undertaken, we can start assessing the eligibility of your land.

Long term impact and permanence are crucial to eligibility, so commitments would likely be for 30-40 years at a minimum.

We have a detailed vetting procedure and will only sell to clients who are focused on achieving positive nature and climate impact.

We are flexible in how we work with landowners and organisations in order to serve their needs and maximise impact on the ground. We can take on the full Project Developer role or we can take on certain parts of the development cycle as required.

The share will be dependent on many factors relating to the project, but we would discuss this with you early in the eligibility assessment to understand the needs of all parties.

Buyers’
questions

We are developing nature and carbon credits, under different international and national standards and methodologies including VCS, SD-VISta, ERS, UK Peatland code.

We are focused on delivering high quality and integrity, rather than focused on maximising quantity. Per project, we can deliver between 1.000 – 5.000 credits per year.

Delivering high quality nature and climate impact in Europe is not cheap, so for the projects to be viable, we have to charge a premium for our credits. Our credits currently range from EUR 50-100 depending on volume,
geography and other terms.

For each of our projects, we work in close partnership with landowners directly or with local implementation partners. We have a rigorous monitoring, reporting and verification system across nature and climate impact to ensure that we are not just meeting the base criteria, but setting higher expectations for the level of impact monitoring on our projects.
